Viber® Vibrating Heads Viber® Internal Concrete Vibrators use a Vibrating Head to transmit the rotary power of the power unit to the freshly poured concrete. Each Viber Head uses an eccentric weight that extends the entire length of the head to produce the vibrational energy that consolidates the concrete. Viber Heads are designed to require less torque, so they can produce the greatest amplitude and largest radius-of-action possible with the least energy input. Bearings are permanently lubricated for the life of the head. Special grade lubricant minimizes resistance and heat production giving longer life. The tip of the head is fabricated from alloy steel giving it great abrasion and impact resistance for extended life. Compact length makes for easier handling in restricted areas. Standard steel tipped sizes used for most projects. Rubber tipped heads are easier on forms. The Viber bearingless, cool-running coupling connects one Flexible Drive to another. You can easily extend our flex drive reach to 35 feet or more. Longer lengths can be assembled, but tend to get quite heavy ~ approximately 100 lb for 100 ft. Use caution connecting flex drives, to an electric power unit, with lengths over 35 feet. Choose with or without Quick Disconnect. This essential component transfers the power from the motor to the head. It consists of a flexible wound steel cable (the core) inside a durable protective sleeve (the casing). Viber Vibrator flex-drives are oil, water and abrasion resistant and available in lengths up to 21 feet. Using Viber’ flex-drive coupler, shafts can be extended up to 35 feet in length.

Viber Flex Drives are reversible, fully greased, and ready to screw onto the Head. Connect opposite end directly to motor or use our Quick Disconnect fitting. Interchange ends to extend the life of the core and the casing.

Our high strength steel alloy Quick-Disconnect is standard on all models – quickly and easily attach the flex drive to the engine with a simple twist of the wheel – no tools required. A built in kill switch provides extra operator safety.

The VMG-2500BP utilizes the Honda engine – small and compact, but powerful enough for almost any application. Both VMG-1750 models feature a Subaru engine – this amazing overhead valve engine continues operating in any position, allowing the operator to move or bend as needed.

Quick Disconnect fitting is built into the design. To attach the Flex Drive to the power unit, order a Flex Drive with a “Drive Fitting” or order the Drive Fitting separately.

The Quick Disconnect is handy when it is necessary to frequently change flex drives or to make it easier to store your equipment. The Quick Disconnect allows for easy removal of the flex drive from the power unit without the use of tools. Simply turn the large star-shaped nut clockwise. This Quick Disconnect accessory comes standard on all gasoline powered VMG power units, pneumatic VMP power units, and electric VMK power units ordered as “Q” models. Quick Disconnect kits are available to upgrade any power unit shipped without the feature.
